We will now assess high level objectives that need to be addressed while architecting a SOA environment using any ESB technology. We talked about business domains that need to be identified for services. Figure 4.3 is an example of business domains in a manufacturing focused organization. As identified in Chapter 3, top-down we are going to create enterprise services that have visibility across domains and domain services that are relevant to a specific domain’s infrastructure and utility services are created to support the domain and enterprise services.
