By 1999, the PLC was in deployment across increasing number of organizations at Intel, but as before, the problem of the era was changing. Intel at the time was a diverse set of businesses that didn’t talk with each other. They were silo organization all with their own story even though the customers were the same. It was time to address the problem and the PLC framework proved useful once again. This article delves into the history of the PLC at this time of change, and how it was adapted to reflect an ever changing business world.
